Statement
Sharing my passion for art! My name is Meredith Jacobson, and I enjoy working with a variety of mediums including soft pastels, oil pastels, watercolor, acrylic, and oil. Being a self-taught artist, I find immense joy in exploring different techniques and experimenting with each medium.One of my favorite ways to capture the beauty around me is through plein air painting in the stunning landscapes of the Greater Los Angeles Area!
There's nothing quite like the excitement and inspiration I feel when painting outdoors, surrounded by nature's wonders.Recently, I had the opportunity to showcase my artwork at a local art shows, and I was thrilled to receive some awards for my pieces. It is truly humbling to be recognized for something that brings me so much joy.
I am grateful for the support of my husband and four kids as I’ve explored my art journey.
Biography
Meredith lives in the San Fernando Valley. An art lover and great admirer of the Impressionists, she took up painting seriously during COVID as a way to relax and unwind. An avid photographer, she uses her photography as inspiration for her paintings. Self-taught, with a few formal lessons and many online videos, Meredith has utilized multiple mediums; primarily pastels, oil and watercolor. She recently joined SoCal Plein Air, continues to be motivated by artists in her art community as well as inspiration of So Cal's beauty.
